A teen was arrested after police swooped on Eastleigh high street last night.
An eyewitness reported seeing unmarked police cars and dog units descend on the town's High Street, outside Yummy Yummy, just after 8.15pm on Thursday night and detain a boy.
Now, Hampshire Police has confirmed that police descended on the town centre after being tipped off that a boy had been seen with a knife in the Mitchell Road car park.

"Officers attended the scene and arrested a boy. A knife was seized.
"A 16-year-old boy from Eastleigh was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. He remains in custody and our enquiries are ongoing."
Speaking to the Echo, an eyewitness said: "What I saw was two unmarked police cars, dog units, stop the three lads with a dog each, and then detained them for search.
"One got arrested I believe for carrying an offensive weapon in a public place, the other two got released."
