A church in Hampshire has been vandalised just before the Easter weekend.
A noticeboard and three wooden Easter crosses outside St John the Baptist Parish Church in Alresford have both been knocked down.
It is believed the vandalism occurred at the East Street church early on Maundy Thursday, March 28.
A post on the Alresford Area Churches Facebook page says: "Unfortunately, we have had a serious vandalism event at the church early this morning. Our noticeboard has been destroyed and our three large wooden Easter crosses in the churchyard have been uprooted and toppled over."
Anyone with information, or who may have "heard anything odd in the night", is asked to contact the church on 01962 733646 or arlevalleychurches@gmail.com.
Hampshire Police has been contacted for more information.
